Safety Glass – Combination of Protection and Aesthetics
Safety glass is obtained by alternately stacking sheets of glass and polyvinyl butyral (PVB) films. The thickness of the PVB can be adjusted by overlapping several layers of film, depending on the properties required. “Polyvinyl butyral/glass” adhesion is formed under pressure during heat treatment.
Durability and Safety
One of the main tasks of safety glass is to prevent the glass from shattering in the event of an impact. The PVB film ensures that the glass is held in place after the glass is broken. Laminated glass therefore provides passive protection and increases safety. These glasses can be tempered or thermally strengthened before installation.
Acoustic Performance and UV Protection
Different types of laminated glass offer an outstanding performance in acoustic sound insulation while offering a high level of protection against harmful UV rays.
Safety glass offers the perfect balance of both protection and aesthetics. It is an ideal option for those who want to protect your interior and offer an elegant look at the same time.
